Students at Chapel Hill Preparatory School recently received invaluable lessons in finance during special classes led by local PlainsCapital Bank employees.

In partnership with Junior Achievement of Dallas, students from kindergarten to second grade learned foundational concepts about money. The lessons aimed to help them understand the value of money, the importance of saving and how to make informed financial decisions.

“PlainsCapital Bank believes children should learn good financial habits early in life, laying a strong foundation for their future,” said Zach Hunter, SVP and Commercial Loan Officer at PlainsCapital and Junior Achievement board member. “We are proud to give back to the Dallas community by providing educational programs that help prepare Texas students for jobs, college and beyond.”

April is recognized as financial literacy month, a month to increase public awareness about early financial education and its role in helping children develop healthy money habits that can last a lifetime.
