Let the holiday season begin! Under the artistic direction of Brent and Judy Klopfenstein, Dallas Ballet Company returns to the Granville Arts Center to present this holiday classic, The Nutcracker. This Christmas tradition begins with the dream of a young girl Clara and her Nutcracker Prince. Through the battle scene of scurrying young mice and brave soldiers, the victorious Nutcracker Prince takes Clara through the Snow Kingdom and Kingdom of Sweets where they are greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy and tasty treats from around the world.
Guest Artists, Sterling Hyltin, principal dancer with New York City Ballet and Jason Fowler, former soloist with New York City Ballet take the stage as the role of Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier. Come and enjoy this wonderful ballet tradition with a cast of more than two hundred students from the Dallas Ballet Center.
