The City of Garland is presenting a FREE movie at the Plaza Theatre on December 23 — Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas.” This classic holiday movie from 1954 is the story of a successful song-and-dance team who become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general.
Starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kay and Rosemary Clooney, this is must see movie to brighten your holiday season. “White Christmas” was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song, but not for the song you would think! It was nominated for the song “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep.”
Popcorn, soda and candy are available for $2 each. Concession profits on Thursday will be donated to the Good Samaritans of Garland.
