Looking for some festive fall fun for the entire family this weekend?  Garland AutumnFest 2014 is where you need to be!

The weather looks like it is going to absolutely glorious on Saturday to come out and enjoy Garland AutumnFest, which will feature little something for everyone.  With festival food, seasonal vendors, a great kid's area that will include bounce houses, face painting, carnival games with prizes, and a creation station with Art of The Hatter.  There will also be live entertainment on stage throughout the day, and radio station KKVI will also be on hand.  

There will also be a Pumpkin Patch on site to search for your perfect pumpkin. And, if capturing some fabulously fall pictures is on your mind, there will be a green screen area with great seasonal backrounds for the whole family to get in front of, and have some pics snapped. 

All of the kiddos who come down in their Halloween costumes, will be able to grab some early candy from vendors.  And, let's not forget about our furry friends.  There will be a Doggy Costume Contest/Pup Pageant, that will be held at 3 pm.  Registration begins at 1:30 pm, and the fee will be $5 per dog, with all proceeds donated to Hope Clinic of Garland. Prizes will be given for "Best Overall", "Most Creative", "Funniest", and "Scariest."

And, if you have some mad pumpkin decorating skills that you are just itching to show off to the world, bring your pumpkin artistry on down with you, and enter your creation in the Pumpkin Decorating Contest.  Entries will be accepted throughout the day, with judging beginning at 4 pm.  Prize categories will be "Best Overall Over Age 12", "Best Overall Under Age 12", "Funniest", and "Scariest." Pumpkin carving must be done prior to arrival, there will be NO carving on site. 

This event will take place in Garland's Historic Downtown Square this Saturday (150 6th Street, at 6th and Main St) and will run from 10 am - 5 pm. It is produced by Eventive Marketing Solutions, Inc., presented by the Garland Downtown Business Association, and is supporting Hope Clinic Garland.  Sponsors include, Suburban Style Magazine, Trophy Nissan, Phideaux Cuisine and Natural Awakenings Magazine.
