Women's History Project:  Visionary Women: Champions of Peace and Nonviolence

(SUMMARY) Garland Club of NANBPWC, Inc. in association with Community Multicultural Commission - City of Garland presents Visionary Women:  Champions of Peace and Nonviolence Panel Discussion on March 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon.  The Panelists are composed of five dynamic multicultural women whose daily contributions allow them to use inclusive, democratic and active means to reduce violence, achieve peace, and promote the common good of the people they serve.  The honorable Dr. Theresa M. Daniel, county commissioner Precinct 1 and Delores Elder-Jones an icon in the City of Garland, and will bring greetings and moderate the Panel Discussion, respectively.  The Program is dedicated to the memory of Goldie Locke, a Community Leader, Founding President of the Garland Branch NAACP and the driving force behind the GISD's NAACP Excel Awards to recognize middle school youth's academic accomplishments.  Acknowledgements and Presentations: Wathenia Clark, President, Garland Club of NANBPWC, Inc. and Jennifer Nguyen, Chair of Community Multicultural Commission - City of Garland.
